RETURN ON INVESTMENT
Optimized Workforce
Yes there is a lot of paperwork and administration that goes into HR but ultimately it is about the Right People, in the Right Jobs doing the Right Things. In addition, that means putting best practices in place in terms of Selection, Engagement, Retention and Management of employees.
Reduced Risk
Good HR practices do several things to minimize risk. First, keep individuals out of the organization who could also bring harm. Second, ensure that you are in compliance with local, state and federal regulations to avoid agency audits and fines. Third, implement policy and procedures that minimize potential employment disputes and lawsuits.
A Well Oiled Machine
The Human Resources function has a lot of moving parts: Recruiting, On-Boarding, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Employee Relations, Records/Retention, Training etc… When you have HR and Payroll best practices, procedures and policies in place, you can focus on running and working on the business instead of working on administration and problems.
CLOSING THOUGHT Employees drive the business. It’s hard to put a price tag on keeping customers and getting new ones or losing a customer due to the quality of products or services. Usually, that begins and ends with employees.
